Baseless Speculation
Three hosts with more enthusiasm than expertise speculate about upcoming movies, TV shows, and comics. Each week they share unfounded, unresearched, and unsubstantiated predictions about what might be coming next. The show is a lighthearted mix of pop-culture discussion and wildly confident guessing.

Zammit's Sick, Jackson is Away and Duscher was Right About Lanterns
Hello dear listener, you may have noticed there hasn't been a new episode. Good job! Zammit is dying from a sinus and ear infection, Jackson is currently interstate for a wedding, Duscher is here, but he can't do a solo ep. You don't want that. So sit tight, the boys in some form will be back at some point. Go watch a movie or something. Or don't. Just sit outside. That's prett
What Lesson Has Hollywood Learned from the Box Office?
The 2026 Box Office is mysterious. Michael is doing really well but also so is Toy Story 5, but also so is the Odyssey, and also Spiderman: Brand New Day. What the hell is a humble executive meant to learn from all this? Duscher starts another BS in the middle of this one, Jackson wants another crack at Pokémon, and Zammit goes upside down. Maybe there's only one lesson to learn, maybe five, t
Who's Focking Excited for Focker in Law?
First we met the Parents, then we met the Fockers, then there were some Little Fockers, now there's a frickin Focker in Law. Truly it is the franchise that keeps on giving. Will the movie be like every other Focking movie or will it surprise us, that's the question. Jackson remembers We're the Millers, Duscher has a complicated relationship with Scarlett Johansson, and Zammit doesn'
What's your ideal MC- Marvel Cinematic Universe Project?
The boys have asked their dear sweet friend Adam Carnevale of D&D Is For Nerds to talk about their ideal MCU project. Well, sort of, secretly they just want to grill Adam about what it's like to be John Movies. Jackson still loves Man-Thing, Duscher reads Adam's letterboxd and goes insane, and Adam believes he's been brought on to be expressly bullied even though the boys just want
What Should Hollywood Remake Next?
Hollywood can't seem to stop remaking goddamn movies. Think of a movie from your childhood, guess what, they're remaking it probably. But what do the BS boys want to see remade? What would tickle their fancy? Zammit wants to give Sunset Boulevard a new coat of youtube colored paint, Duscher wants to make an X-Box themed Jingle all the Way, and Jackson wishes Treasure Planet was longer and
The Jumanji 3 Episode
Jumanji was a probably successful movie they made in 1995, now it's 2026 and they're making what is technically the fifth movie in the franchise, Jumanji: Open World. Will it be good or not? That's the question ostensibly answered on todays episode but not really. Zammit has never heard of the Nutcracker, Jackson gets yelled at about the past, and Duscher (and the rest of the boys) con
Supergirl Made Less than Morbius, Now What?
Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow, a comic the boys adore, was adapted into the movie Supergirl and it stunk a million asses. This was disappointing for the boys but surely it's gotta be more disappointing for the DCU. Is this the death knell for the franchise or merely a speedbump? Duscher is furious about release schedules and just wants to get in there, Zammit still believes in Gun, and Jackson
Spiderman Made a Billion Bucks, Now What?
Spiderman: Brand New Day has exceeded all expectation and is fast tracking itself to become one of the most successful movies of all time. What does this mean for Marvel? Are they panicking? Are they changing things behind the scenes. The boys look to the future to try and figure out what's next. Jackson, to no ones surprise, gets yelled at, Duscher starts a pee train, and Zammit remembers Spi
Spiderman: Brand New Day is the 2nd Best MCU Spiderman Movie
The boys are back from the movies where they saw Spiderman: Brand New Day. Did they like it? Mostly! Did it make them excited for the future? Not really, in many ways the opposite. Zammit gets into a fight about the Hulk like a good husband, Jackson has to read War & Peace, and Duscher just wishes they would do something about Jared Leto for once. Sometimes it's kind of bad to be reminded
Are We Excited for Avengers: Doomsday?
Wowsers trousers, all the guys are here. The MCU continues to delight with a brand new trailer for the next avengers film, Avengers: Doomsday. Sure looks like a bunch of guys standing around, but surely the film will be more than that. Jackson reaches the end of his tether more or less immediately, Zammit falls down a Ghost Rider hole, and Duscher misses event cinema. If you love seeing guys in pl
Jackson and Duscher Breathlessly Explain Minions and Monsters
Jackson and Duscher went and saw Minions and Monsters and it changed their lives, so they've invited their most adult friends, Joel Zammit and Matt Stewart, into the studio to breathlessly explain the movies plot. Well Joel Zammit was there anyway, but Matt is guesting. The movie is insane in multiple ways you're not expecting, and is maybe the best movie in the Minions franchise. Listen o
Toy Story 5. Good?
Tech is coming! It's time for the boys to discuss the fifth entry in the toy story ouvre, Toy Story 5. Was it good? Yeah. Was it amazing? Hard to say. There was certainly a lot going on. Jackson thinks it's funny Toy Story backed itself into a corner, Zammit loves to throw his baby around, and Duscher gets distracted halfway through to have a (justified) argument with someone on his phone.
Was Supergirl Good?
Well let's get this out of the way: Jackson is gonna get spiderwebs shaved into his hair. There's no horse in this movie. There's Lobo though, for some reason, and a child trafficking ring, and at one point Supergirl pisses with the door open. Look, all the boys loved Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow so this movie had a lot to live up to and it hits that much harder that it absolutely fail

Jacksom Ate 12 Eggs
Joel Duscher is away getting his teeth pulled or getting more teeth or something we don’t know so Jackson and Zammit have teamed up for a retrospective on the worst two and a half hours of Jackson’s life: eating 12 eggs. If you’ve ever wanted to hear two men talk about eggs for an hour this is the podcast for you. Jackson provides a blow by blow of each horrible egg he was forced to consume and Za
The Future of Star Wars
Is Star Wars cooked? Thats the question the boys dare to answer on this weeks episode. Grogu was kind of mid so does that spell disaster for star wars in general? Also man Ryan Gosling has been in a lot of movies and surprisingly most of them didnt do very well. Plus the boys throw aspersions at each other and the rich and famous, as is tradition. Don't forget to give them five stars on your p
How Come The Boys Fumbled the End?
Oh the Boys! What a show! And now it's over and the BS Boys have seen it (or at least the finale) and now it's time to basedly react. Spoiler warning, the boys (our boys, not the show) aren't terribly impressed. Zammit has multiple suggestions for improvement, Duscher remembers an incident involving an elevator shaft, and Jackson reveals his nut preferences. Plus some important informa
Was Mando and Grogru Good?
Star Wars is back on the big screen! For such a momentous occasion Jackson and Duscher decided to go to a midnight screening! They regret that! Was the movie good? Did anything happen in it? Is it good to see hutts fight each other with their disgusting slimy worm bodies? And most importantly, does Jackson have to eat 12 eggs? All questions are answered in this beautiful based reaction. The future
Did You Think The Franchise Ends Just Because of a Big Finale? WRONG! Toy Story 5!
Despite ostensibly ending twice already Toy Story is back with its fifth instalment, Toy Story 5! This time it seems like the toys are going up against tech (by which it appears they actually mean screens) in a battle for Bonnie's attention. The boys discuss this a bit, but mostly they discuss egg recipes, brain rot, and the best way to chug two litres of milk. Joel Duscher also does an "a
What Will Michael 2 Be About?
It would be fair to say that the King of Pop Michael Jackson was a controversial figure. But did you know that in the 2026 movie Michael literally none of it is addressed because the movie ends in the late 80s? Did you also know that the movie ends with a sequel tease? How will they do that? How could they possibly make a movie about the second half of Michael Jackson's life? Don't they kn
How Will The Boys End?
Amazon Prime's hit TV Series The Boys is coming to an end and who better to speculate on the ending of Amazon Prime's hit TV series The Boys than da boys?! Who's going to eat V1? Who's Homelander's bio-mom? Will Hughie be the one to stop God-Emperor Homelander? Will the give that bulldog V1 juice so he can finally live his dream of making sweet love to Homelander? All these que
Who's Excited for The Mandalorian & Grogu?
It's been a long time coming, but BS boys are finally talking about Mandalorian and Grogu. Do they want to see it? Do they understand it really? Is star wars still good in the year of our lord 2026? These questions are difficult to answer. What we do know is that in this episode Jackson whiffs it on the wheel twice with devastating consequences for both him and Zammit, and that sort of eats up
Your Ideal Sci-Fi Sequel with Benny Davis
We're in Sydney and JD went missing for a few hours but that doesn't matter right now because we're joined by Benny Davis to ask what our ideal sci-fi sequel would be, which was really just a ham fisted way for us to defend Avatar against the hurtful things Benny had to say about it and for Benny to be eternally disappointed in us. In blackest day, in darkest night, my ring! I will wear it so tight? And evil dead, from my ring, that’s the green lantern thing! What Is Going on in ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’?
JD has had 3 strong coffees and we all try podcasting: normal style for once in our gosh damn lives. Is this good? Is this what you want? Because it was hell for us. Hopefully after we see this film the most important question that is on everyone’s lips will be answered: is Ned still a wizard? Also a little addendum to today’s episode as in between recording this and it going live Paul got got by
Can Duscher Eat 40 Nuggets? aka Why is Super Mario Galaxy Not Good?
A lot of claims were made about the new Mario movie and none of them came true. For your listening pleasure, or viewing pleasure if you’re watching youtube.com/@plumbingthedeathstar, JD eats 40 very cold chicken nuggets that he cares not for. So witness the best day of Jackson’s life in preparation for next week when Jackson has his worst day as he has to watch Midnight in Paris 4 times in a row.
Who's the Villain in Super Mario Galaxy Movie?
Motel life isn't for everyone, especially when Bryce HATES you. But thank you for celebrating our 48th birthday in this empty parking lot. Anyways, Mario? He got another movie coming out? Would it be weird if we went on a first date to your family Christmas? Don't answer that. Don't worry about it. Hey, who do you think is the villain of Mario Galaxy? It can't be Bowser again, sure
How Bad is Warner Bros. Paramount Acquisition?
The world is bad and it keeps getting worse as your three favourite boys do their best to not just give up and spend the rest of their days in some kind of goon bunker away from everything that’s terrible. Unfortunately we can’t afford a bunker, for either gooning or non-gooning activities. Instead we have to look at the news and see how we’re all getting reamed this time. It’s unfair that we can’
How Will Sony S#!t the Bed This Time?
Sony continue to prove they're the funniest production company out there by making the big claim that they're gonna reboot the Sony Spider-Man Universe. Why? We dont know. But we're certainly gonna talk about it. Some people say you can't shit the same bed twice but clearly theyre very wrong. Miss Piggy's Big Movie
Miss Piggy is back... Maybe. And she's getting her own smash hit movie.... Maybe. All of this is up in the air but that's not going to stop us baselessly speculating... OH THATS WHY THE SHOW IS CALLED THAT???? Nice. Miss Piggy is not a horse, nor is she a pig. She is in fact a muppet, which is like a puppet but spelt differently. The more you know. Scrubs Season 10
Scrubs. I don't want no Scrubs. Pretty good song but that's not what we're talking about today. Instead since everyone's favourite quirky hospital based sitcom is returning to our screens we're gonna take a little look and ask "Hey....what is this? Will it be good? Almost certainly not."Horses are actually extremely knowledgeable in the field of medicine and would make
Our Ideal Star Wars Projects
Boy there sure are a whole lot of Star Wars these days, huh? Turns out there could have been even more, only with the twist of it actually being good. Anacondas are terrified of Horses and as a result will not eat them. Horses will however absolutely devour a lo
Will the Wolverine Game Be as Good as We Hope?
Those beautiful boys and girls over at insomniac have been cooking another Marvel game, this time all about the little angry boy Wolverine. Will it be any good? Will the Leaks hurt its performance? Will Spidey show up? Absolutely no idea but let's have a lil chat about it. As far as I'm aware there are no horses on the X-Men which in my opinion is a gross oversight by Charlie Boy. Why woul
Fallout: Season 2 - Will It Be Any Good?

Mortal Kombat 2 - This Time Johnny Cage is Here Maybe
Look I'll be honest, I know pretty much nothing about Mortal Kombat, while I was editing this and listening to the boys talk, I had no idea what was going on, but I had a good time, and you will too when you listen to this episode, that's the Sanspants guarantee... Superman 2025
Superman, like Baseless Speculation, is back baby! His big S stands for hope and that's exactly what we all are for this film! The boys are a big fan of Corenswet as a name, are a little afraid of anyone named Lachlan, especially if they're a lawyer and get lost in the blitz riff.
