Harriet and Ellen 58 Episodes May 3, 2026

Ellen and Harriet, a mother-daughter duo, have been discussing Jane Austen together since Harriet was young. In this podcast, they do a close reading of Austen's novels, going through a few chapters per episode. Along the way they pick a favorite sentence, analyze a character, and add their own perspectives: Ellen offers a social historian's take on the nineteenth century, while Harriet looks at how the chapters appear in pop culture adaptations.
